Our homestead is located in Hamptonville, North Carolina along the sandy banks of the Hunting Creek. Our home was built in 1940, by one of the original Amish families (the Esh's, I believe) who settled into this area. Although the home has been updated, added on to and remodeled, it still shines with old-time charm. (Visit our Odds and Ends Page for pictures!) Our weekends and summer evenings are spent "down by the creek", where we fish, swim, camp, kayak, zip-line from the bank to the island, swing from a rope into our 'swimming hole', and just basically enjoy Mother Nature. Our Malamute lot comes out right next to the creek bank, and not a day goes by they don't lay by the edge and just enjoy nature as we do! There is still a remarkable population of the Amish here in Hamptonville, and it is fairly common to greet a daily horse-drawn buggy or a tractor on our community's Country Roads.

ABOUT OUR BREEDINGS:

We are a small, reputable breeder (dog-owners all our lives, breeding since 2000) who strive to stay that way.  All of our breedings are planned and we watch carefully as moms prepare for their new litters. Once due dates approach or signs of puppies begin to show, Moms are given warm baths, started on a daily vitamin and a richer diet that aids in producing milk for pups, and moved into "Nurseries". All new pups are born inside and remain inside until they are old enough to make the transition into heated and air conditioned nursery kennels and runs. The Malamute pups prefer cooler temperatures while our small breeds prefer warmer climates.

We take great pride in our reputation and are here for new owners (and just curious non-owners alike) 24/7, 365 days a year.  We would like to be considered a part of your pups life ~ after all, this is where his or her roots began.  We encourage you to visit our place to meet our Cavaliers and Malamutes, or if you just have a few questions in general, we'd always be happy to help out anyway we can. 

Within the careful consideration of our adults, there must be NO signs of any genetic or physical defects - neither evident, hereditary, or possible. We are confident in the health, longevity and dispositions of each puppy our adults produce. All of our puppies will have Well Puppy Checks before going to new homes and all pups come with a Guarantee as well.

You're always welcome to come and visit ~ we just ask for enough notice so we can plan to be here. As for visiting new puppies, we have changed our policy on visiting with newborn pups. We now ask to wait until the puppies have developed enough of an immune system (at least 4 weeks of age). By this time, the pups are more active, alert, eyes open and their curiosity shows more obviously than very young pups. We do this to be sure to keep the puppies healthy and mom happy. It can happen where disease/infections can be brought in unintentionally by visitors and passed to the pups.
